I love hole in the wall local eateries. Rotier’s appeared to be just that from the street as I passed by. I added it to my list and made a point of going back to dine. The sign on the front says “Steaks & Seafood” but after reading about the place on the internet, I found that Hamburgers are the real specialty. Actually the place has won quite a few “Best Burger in Nashville” awards.
Location: Rotiers is located in a the historic Elliston place area. There are some great places to go out to listen to music after you eat. You can have a nice evening out and only park once.
Atmosphere: HOLE IN THE WALL!! 
Very small, very old, very worn out and comfortable. Many locals and I am sure plenty of them are regulars. This is NOT a tourist spot but rather a charming local place. Having lived in Nashville for over 8 years, I am local enough to feel comfortable here.
Food: Indeed one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. I ordered a simple cheeseburger with bacon and opted for the “french bread”. It was huge, juicy and cooked to perfection. The Cheese sticks as an appetizer were big and tasted like they were made in fresh clean fryer oil. That is a big deal for me.
Service: our waitress was charming and very attentive. The food was delivered quickly even though the place was full of patrons. Another great aaspect of the sevrice was that my beer was never empty. She was on top of things and that is appreciated.
Overall: I would definitely go out of my way for another of these burgers. It would be a great place to meet some friends before a show at the Exit Inn down the street!
